Our Slave Pay Policy, indeed Employer corruption.
Slavery is a form of forced labor in which people are considered to be the property of others. Slaves can be held against their will from the time of their capture, purchase or birth, and deprived of the right to leave, to refuse to work, or to demand wages.
The International Labor Organization, however, does not equate forced labor with slavery. According to ILO, there are estimated 12 million people around the world still working under coercion in forced labor, slavery and slavery-like practices.
Most are debt slaves, largely in South Asia, who are under debt bondage incurred by lenders, some for generations. Human trafficking is mostly for prostituting women and children into the sex trade.
Today, our Far East Slave have to pay advance debt for air ticket, middle man commission, professional training and other administration fee before they able to work in Singapore. Therefore, they work as a contract worker or a temporary property of others for low income and middle class career in Singapore. Whereby, some of them work with legal work permit, work pass, skill pass and employment pass or illegally.
Our Minister of Manpower adopt old fashion of Far East culture myths that belief poor working environment and work below reasonable market salary or poor salary will make workers work harder and more obedient. Hence, some of workers work without pay or pay delay and so on.
Our employer myths is if their pay worker with high salary will make workers like to enjoy their life and refuse to work harder with too much of non violent action against employers. Yet, the employer pays sky high, indeed corruption.
