If you take a look back at YSL of WP.. that episode also saw the media finding out the woman.
YSL's case was different in that the party sacked him as he didn't want to appear in public.. or even show his face in sg.. duno if he ever came back to sg.. but have not heard any news about him anymore.
Now, it happened to a PAP party member.. a speaker in the parliament too. My guess is, if the woman is not names, everyone, including the opposition, will ask why this case is treated differently.
I believe that the pappies shot themselves in the foot when YSL's case came out, and the woman in it was found out and pic, name was splashed all over the media.
Now, they might feel that they HAVE to do the same.. because if they didn't, it would be viewed as double standard.
But, those of us who are professional in our conduct in business and considerate in ethics would know that personal matters that don't affect the company, organization or the business in general, should not be done like what the PA has.
It is sad, but even my parents first comments were, "this woman, so bad. Palmer is a married man.. why break up other people's marriage." You can clearly see that the image of a woman in an affair with a married man is never viewed as a good thing for the woman.
It is in my opinion that the woman should have not have been disclosed by the PA, and if media found out, that is the media's responsibility.. it is what they do anyways.
Now, it would appear that Laura Ong may not be able to show her face in sg.. or maybe even not able to get a job in sg for quite a while. The image.. and stigma.. might last a long time for her.
