I personally like the one that said S'poreans never ASK for all these HIGH CLASS options.
We just want a roof over our heads. Si beh ho ah!

"THE eagerly anticipated new flats in the mature Dawson estate ....... complete with plenty of wow factors."
"For the first time, the Housing Board (HDB) is offering flexible flat layouts to best suit individual family needs. Three floor plans are available: a standard layout, a larger living room option or a larger master bedroom option."
Further on in th front page Straits Times, it said these is to suit different lifestyle.
What all the above boils down to? wow factors ...for the first time... it is a Political Diversion strategy of HDB to distract all voters from the high prices public housing.
What different lifestyles is HDB offering? Only private housing lifestyle, upper class lifestyle, expensive lifestyles.
Where are the poor family lifestyle?
Where are the Singles lifestyle?
Where are the Divorced lifestyle?
HDB only offering pro family lifestyle! Expensive lifestyle. Dare they say these options are coming at cheaper design cost, construction cost. Why are they spending these money to justify the increase in prices of public housing.
Who in this forum is asking for this options?
Which Singaporean is asking for all these options at this difficult time of the economy?
Is the government reading the people sentiments at this difficult times correctly? No, they are worrying about having no seats for their butt in the coming election.
This is just simply a Political Diversion to sway away the heat of high public housing prices to a dream-like HDB housing.
Damed it, stop being polical and give up a simple and straight forward affordable public housing lifestyle option! Downgrade all the expensive features if you need to.
We just need a roof without constantly worrying about whether we can keep up with our monthly mortgage payments into our old age.

Subsidized flats hahaha what a sham!! Didn't they used to say it was tied in to the cost of construction, now it is tie in to the market price?? No wonder the valuation of resales houses has sky rocketed to unrealistic levels. The higher it goes the greater the difference they can make from construction and market sale price. So it is no longer a loss for them as there is basically no subsidy off the construction cost but merely a loss off the resale prices.
So it is only to the government interest to keep valuation of resale housing as unrealistically high as possible.

Most likely to be another scrapped plan, lah!!! So EXPENSIVE!!! Our gahmen really thought that sgreans are soooo..... rich???
BUY! BUY! BUY! Bcos MM said that “flats prices will rise”!!!
Some years later, many sgreans will have to ‘tiao lao’ or 'tiao hai'!!!
Who will be the one to DIE???
Definitely not those who tell you to BUY!!!
