<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"-->KUANTAN - A SINGAPOREAN woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed in the neck by an unknown woman at a resort near Bentong last on Thursday.
Pahang Crime Investigation Department chief ACP T. Narenasagaran said the attack happened at about 8.40am while the
66-year-old victim was opening the door to enter her room after returning from a gambling centre there.
'A woman, who was believed to have been following the victim, then stabbed her on the neck. The assailant fled without taking anything when the victim screamed for help,' he told reporters here on Monday.
The victim was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital where she was then warded at the Intensive Care Unit.
Following the incident, Narenasagaran said police obtained footage of a closed-circuit television camera in the area, which then led to the arrest of a 42-year-old woman from Taman Midah, Cheras, and a 43-year-old man, in a room at the same hotel. -BERNAMA
