City Harvest Church founding pastor Kong Hee, who is facing a possible life sentence [Link] from an alleged corruption of $50 Million donations, has just applied for permission to travel overseas. Kong Hee made his application at the Subordinate Court on Monday, citing "pastoral engagements" as an excuse. The influential pastor is represented by Edwin Tong, a PAP MP and also the Deputy Chairman for Law and Home Affairs. He is currently out on a $500,000 bail and the overseas application is unknown.

Taiwan doesn't have extradition treaty with Singapore. Maybe he will go there.

Just going to settle " unfinished business"... Possibly even divorce wife to " protect " assets before " mareva injunction " passed??.

I think he will be back.. Not time to disappear yet.
