SINGAPORE - The haze has worsened on Thursday (Sept 10), with the three-hour Pollutants Standard Index (PSI) at 5pm hitting 147, the highest so far this year.

The three-hour readings breached 100 at 2am and have been going up since, according to the National Environment Agency's (NEA) website.

The PSI readings on Wednesday were markedly lower, with hourly readings across Singapore staying within the moderate level of 50 to 100.

fuck the indon!

Nah... fuck those who have links to Wilmar International. ;)

http://www.sammyboy.com/showthread.php?154718-Former-PAP-MP-linked-to-haze

Former PAP MP, Leong Horn Kee (who is currently Singapore's non-resident Ambassador to Mexico) is a Director of Wilmar International.

Wilmar International was named by Newsweek last year as the "world's least environmentally friendly company".

Wilmar admits on its website, "While we are committed to No-Burn practice, we cannot prevent local practices of slash-and-burn for agricultural and other purposes. This may lead to high incidences of uncontrolled fires which inevitably spread over to our plantations."

Wilmar is listed on the SGX. So why can't the Singapore Government pressure Wilmar's management to stop their unethical and fucked up practices of allowing slash-and-burn to take place on their plantations??

tomorrow when my family and I go to the polls
my eyes might just play trick on me

instead of ticking pap
I might just draw the lightning strike

what is happening, looks like a haunted shroud surrounding and enveloping the whole Singapore
look like a wake, a funeral or a big haunted cemetery

I saw some singaporeans wearing masks

some may wear tomorrow when they go into the polling booths

and they secretly mark their choices ....

surprise will meet everyone on 12 September

This is what happens when useless PAP is in charged.

vote dat useless burger in charge out! ...

If you vote for the PAP, the haze will clear up in no time at all.

Vote for the opposition and it will become permanent.

You shoul go give dogfuck together with everyone in your family before going to the polls

dogcum can help clear the eyes

I don't see anyone using n95 masks. I see some using those green masks but it could be that they are sick. If people don't wear proper protection they are going to experience future health problems on top of the usual cancers.

PAP gov't is really useless. I have not heard them provide any warnings, guidelines or anything. The PSI reading shown on TV are very much lower than what you find at

It's election time. Surely you don't want to cause unnecessary alarm? ;)

The air is so healthy and fresh now, looks romantic and misty like Genting Highlands. Go for a run! Be grateful! :D

The haze has reached a new level today (Sept 10), the highest recorded so far this year.

The three-hour Pollutants Standard Index (PSI) hit 137 at noon.

At 6pm, the three-hour PSI reached 160.

The Straits Times reported that yesterday (Sept 9), the PSI readings were lower, staying within the 50 to 100 range, which is considered moderate with regards to the intensity of the haze.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) said on its website that the country's air quality may deteriorate further if the winds are unfavourable.

So how are Singaporeans coping with the haze?

Apart from making sure that they stay hydrated, keep out of the open when the can, buy air purifiers and wear masks, some of them are trying to make it through this smoky time with humour
