<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I was excited about MediaCorp's recent Anniversary Gala show. It was a glittering affair with so many TV stars - young and old, past and present.
I was particularly thrilled to see the Lost And Found segment on the child stars of yesteryear. How they have grown. I think it was a wonderful gesture to invite them to the reunion.
However, I felt the show would have been more complete if it had included the young stars of the black-and-white children's dramas of the 1970s.
There were several outstanding child stars then who were not only good actors, but also good Mandarin speakers. They acted with some of the present and former MediaCorp actors, such as Chen Shucheng, Li Yinzhu, Dai Peng and Wang Xiuyun. The producers were Zheng Guochiu and Li Mingfen.
If those child stars had been invited to the gala show as well, there would have been a lot more fond memories for sure. Michelle Boone (Ms)
