British kickboxer Lee Aldhouse sought for murder of American tourist Dashawn Longfellow in Thailand.
The two reportedly exchanged blows at the Freedom Bar, in the Rawai section of the island, which Aldhouse was known to frequent. The brawl is said to have started when the fighter blocked Longfellow from getting to the bathroom, the Phuket Gazette reports. Witnesses told the newspaper that Longfellow was winning the fight when other patrons broke it up.
The American then went back to his hotel with his girlfriend before going back out to a 7-Eleven. He was spotted there by Aldhouse, the Gazette reports, who then obtained a pair of knives at the convenience store and followed Longfellow. When he opened the door to his hotel room, Longfellow's girlfriend told the newspaper she saw the British kickboxer approach her boyfriend from behind.
"At first it didn't look like [Aldhouse] had anything," she is quoted as saying. "We didn't know he had a knife because his hands were in his pockets." The two fought for a moment outside the room, and Aldhouse allegedly stabbed Longfellow twice in the chest. The American then escaped into the room and closed the door. Longfellow's girlfriend said she called police, but by the time an ambulance arrived, he was dead. Aldhouse has lived in Thailand for several years, and was recently the victim of a hit-and-run accident.
