Jurong West resident has had enough of cyclists

I AM a resident in Jurong West and I would like to express my concern and frustration over cyclists using pedestrian walkways.
Every morning, when I walk from my estate to the Boon Lay MRT station, there are many cyclists zipping past me and I am often forced to stand aside and let them pass. All this happens on the pavement meant for pedestrians.
The cyclists range from students and workers to seniors. Not all of them are good at handling their bicycles, which is why, more often than not, I would rather stop and let them pass, for the safety of both parties.
I am very concerned that the action of these cyclists could cause harm to both themselves and pedestrians - especially young children and the elderly. It's also very frustrating for me to have to stop multiple times during a short 10-minute walk in the morning.
