SINGAPORE – Football fans hoping to catch the 2018 FIFA World Cup for free will be able to follow the action "live" at 55 Community Clubs (CCs).
Fans can catch the opening match on June 14, 11pm at 40 CCs and Our Tampines Hub (OTH), said the People's Association (PA) in a media release on Tuesday (June 5).
Other matches will be made available at the various CCs and OTH during the month-long football competition, though the PA clarified that not all 64 matches will be screened due to conflicting match timings.
"The screenings would allow people who share the love for football, regardless of race or social background, to come together to interact and make friends," said the media release.
For fans keen on following their favourite teams, screening schedules will be made available at www.pa.gov.sg and the PAFrenz Facebook page, said the association.
Alternatively, residents who just want to bond with their community over football action can contact their nearest CC directly for the latest match screening schedules.
