MALAYSIAN DJ and model Leng Yein (pic) tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Khen Chua in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday in a ceremony that was witnessed by over 500 of her fans, China Press reported.
The couple took turns to take photographs with the fans after exchanging rings.
“You were once an elder sister whom I respect a lot. From today onwards, you are the woman I love the most!” shouted Chua, 29, to cheers from the guests.
The couple had known each other for 10 years.
Leng Yein, 34, said she did not expect to end up being married to him.
It was reported that Chua proposed to Leng Yein over the phone on May 2.
She told reporters that she decided to settle down with Chua, whom she affectionately refers to as her “little black brother”, because of his tanned complexion and caring attitude.
“If ever there is a problem in our marriage, it will definitely be because of me,” she said, adding that she is an impatient person, unlike her husband.
Leng Yein, who was a former Miss Malaysia finalist, has had a series of tumultuous relationships following her divorce in 2012, one of which included a short-lived romance with rapper Point Blanc.
> A 37-year-old man with germaphobia beat up his parents just because his father used paper towels to wipe his nose, Oriental Daily reported.
A court in Singapore recently sentenced him to three years and six months in jail along with four strokes of the rotan for the offence which took place inside a flat in January last year.
On the night of the incident, the man was observing whether his father was following the prescribed steps in cleaning himself.
To his consternation, his 68-year-old father used paper towels to wipe his nose and not the mouth.
He got so upset that he proceeded to beat up both his father and mother.
The father ended up bleeding while the mother suffered three broken bones. The man was diagnosed with a serious case of germaphobia in 2009.
