Jailed for threat on hostess

A REAL estate agent was jailed six months on Tuesday for threatening his Vietnamese hostess girlfriend with a chopper.
The pair had got into a quarrel and Chan Yeow Hong, 36, threatened to kill her and himself at about 5pm on Aug 31 last year at his Bedok Reservoir flat.
During the squabble, Chan went into the kitchen, took out the chopper and pulled Ms Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, 27, into the master bedroom.
He then locked the door and threatened to kill Ms Nguyen, who is married.
Chan also slapped her several times in the face.
