A FORMER security guard was jailed a month on Wednesday for scribbling graffiti on seven buses, two bus stops and the toilet door of a Bukit Batok coffee shop.

Yeo Kie Yong, 62, pleaded guilty to committing three counts of vandalism.

Seven other charges were taken into consideration by the judge when passing sentence.

When he was first produced in court in March, some of the charges stated that he wrote 'anti-Government graffiti' in a mixture of Chinese and English on the seats and side panels of buses and on the panels of bus stops.

The court was not told of the reason for the omission in the amended charges produced on Wednesday.

In one offence, closed-circuit television footage revealed Yeo boarding the bus at 7am along New Bridge Road and alighting about an hour later along Bukit Batok East Avenue 2.

While on the bus, he had moved from seat to seat where the graffiti was subsequently found.

Later that day, Yeo scribbled graffiti on the seats and the display panels of a bus stop along the same road.
