Charged with $2m theft

AN AUXILIARY police officer was charged in court on Tuesday with stealing $2 million from Certis Cisco on Sunday.
Tan Chee Wey, 41, allegedly stole the amount with Stanley Ong Beng Hock, 28, at the Jalan Afifi premises at about noon that day. Ong has not been charged yet.
Tan was remanded at Bedok police station for a week for investigation.
The bespectacled man, who was unrepresented, may be jailed for up to seven years and fined if convicted of the charge.
He will be back in court on April 20.
