Serious Italian Luxury Production Overrun by Tiongs ... AMDKs Super Tulan!

when i lived in the piemonte region during the 90s there were already scores of tiongs smuggled and trafficked to the aosta, lombardia, emilia-romagna regions surrounding piemonte. in one quaint small town up in the mountains you wouldn’t expect one chinese restaurant to be around, but easily there were 6 with 0.9 of an eatery serving only take-out food. apparently they were “hiring” and hiding cheap labor from prc for their slave shops and “harboring” them in makeshift quarters upstairs in restaurants. as these eateries served tiong factory owners and managers alike, they also acted as food caterers to the various underground factories and sweatshops. workers were not allowed to go around town. they live, eat, sleep, and work in the shadows and their modern dungeons. i’m not even sure if they were ever paid or released to a free life in italy.

ivrea is not far from torino, just a little north into the aosta valley. somewhere off the autostrade before you exit into ivrea you’ll see a small sign that says “scarmagno”. even italians not from the area won’t know the existence of this village. it’s about 6.9km south of ivrea, and it’s a peaceful, serene, quiet village away from the crowd during carnevale di ivrea which is supposed to happen for about 2 weeks in february. typically blood oranges from sicily are thrown around. this time it might be reddish coronaviruses.

i was there hunting for tartufi and funghi porcini. they are worth a lot and one can make a living just harvesting them from the forest. truffles are sextremely hard to find, sexpecially the black ones. there are also brown ones, green ones, grey ones, white ones.

(CNN) — After numerous Italian communities have tried to revive their dwindling populations by selling off dilapidated homes for little more than a dollar, one town has come up with a new approach.
Teora, a pretty destination located in the southern region of Campania, is hoping to lure potential residents by offering to pay towards their rent if they move in.
