Isabella Leong To Make Comeback


4 Jan – It was reported that after a five-year hiatus, actress Isabella Leong may be making a comeback in the acting industry.

As reported on Groove Asia, Hong Kong director Fruit Chan recently announced plans to produce a new science fiction movie – an adaptation of Hong Kong's popular online novel, "Lost On A Red Minibus To Taipo".

The director was reported saying, "No one is better suited to portray the lead character Yuki more than Isabella."

Fruit Chan continued that the executive producer has already contacted Isabella Leong and that they are currently awaiting her reply.

In 2008, Isabella Leong made headlines when she dated the older Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li and quit showbiz for love. The actress then gave birth to their first son in the same year and a pair of twin sons in June 2010.

However, the couple split in 2011 and the 24-year-old has been residing in Canada and taking care of her three sons ever since.

Isabella has earlier made a statement that she would return to acting if there is a good script for her.

Since giving birth to Ethan in April, Leong has been ‘rewarded’ with two mansions in San Francisco and HK$50 million in cash, totalling more than HK$200 million. The Lis have also thrown in an entourage of care-givers for the latest addition to the family. Ethan will have five bodyguards, four full-time nannies and a personal attendant assigned to him.

There has been speculation that a 10-digit pre-nuptial agreement is in place to take care of Leong’s future needs and also to prevent any “potential problems” that could arise in the future.
