I cannot believe this- I have just had the local finance manager here annouce in an open plan office that I look slim in my passport picture compared to how I am now! This is so unprofessional is there more to come? I hope not and how should I respond? Ah............................. I cannot believe these women would respond to a male colleague like this?

Hmmmmm actually professionalism has got nothing to do with this matter. Poor manners and tactless...So the correct response in the future would be...

Diplomatic response:
"What can I say life is good to me these days." and smile

Cheeky response:
"I realised I don't need to look good to get sex with a babe." or
"Since you won't sleep with me I just let myself go." and pretend to look sad.

Uncalled for response:
"It's called aging with grace and dealing with it. But you stupid bitch won't understand." then start questioning her what does she has against people who are not slim and accuse her of being discriminating.
