Is the term "lesser mortals" Charles Chong personal comment or represent the Pappies?

“Maybe it made lesser mortals envious and they thought maybe he was a little bit boastful,” he said. “Would people have taken offence if his wife (a senior investment counsellor at a bank) had paid for everything?” - MP Charles Ong.

The term he use is "lesser mortals" and does this represent the pappies? Is that the how they feet in their heart?

If it is not, then this mp will have to make an apology.

If it is, then 66.6% please wake up and stop bring harm to us, the 33.4%.

Deep down inside most Pappies feel the same way.
Remember Ms Vivian asking whether the poor wants to eat in food court or restaurant?
Or how about the Emperor lamenting that training Singkies (not to pee in lifts) is like training dogs?

If he made that comment in his own capacity, he should resign. What does an Immortal have anything in common with a lesser mortal anyway?

Looks like another public telling off may be required.

I am utteryly disappointed in Charles Chong over his remarks on 'lesser mortals'...may he say, one thousand "Hail Mary's"..and remember, which church he came from , when he was young!

The point is not wether his wife, paid for the... or the man himself paid for...his children plus his wife, plus him..paid for...!!!. It is the arrogant self that was projected...

"WHILE ROME BURNS...the NERO'S FIDDLE!"...really, really, terribly disaapointed in Charles Chong...lack of judgment too!...

We are the "lesser mortal"?...another hint of arrogance?...rubbing salt into wounds again...!!

All of present day PAP is just one Lee Kuan Yew entity. MP Charles Ong is just another Lee Kuan Yew clone. His attitude is the manifestation of Lee Kuan Yew's attitude.

Problem is... many Singaporeans they find Lee Kuan Yew agreeable. So how? Most Singaporeans okay with Lee Kuan Yew's attitude and mindset. There's no way out of this vicious cycle, unless Singaporeans realize Lee Kuan Yew has got some serious screw up fuck up attitude, mindset and thinkings.

If Singaporeans don't wake up, Chong's attitude towards the commoner will not be rectified. 'cause Chong's attitude is just PAP/ LKY attitude.

Give it a shot. Usually, it's a self expression in taking a dig at oneself (eg us lesser mortals). Obviously, humility is alien to his vocab. That, or he shot himself in the foot

Or was he referrring to this?:p

Average Singaporean's, lesser mortals, what's the difference? a spade is a spade!:(

Mee Siam 'mai hum', mee siam with hum?..what's the difference...it is still a "HUM"..

Who paid for the cooking, what's the difference, it is his money, their money, not our money.

But, the people are being 'cooked' by the economic downturn, it is not the cooking lessons, but the being cooked lessons, that is the difference.

This is Teo's schoolmate....

Charles Chong has made the ultimate sacrifice because of his love for Singapore and Singaporeans. By uttering these words, he is letting people see how deep and intractable the rot in PAP is, as well as how wide the disconnect is between PAP and the citizenry.

So he said those words with full knowledge and with the sole purpose of bringing down the name of PAP.
