A man of his calibre has joined the opposition cause instead of jumping on the PAP bandwagon of success, in that narrow sense he is a hero. He is not a mole for basically the same reason as his list of achievements and credentials. He has too much self-esteem and pride to be a mole for the PAP. My opinion is that he really wants to help establish and install a credible and worthy opposition in our Parliament.

Whether he is a mole or not will only be reveal via his actions during the GE campaign. PAP have a ggod record of sending men to infiltrate and destroy the party from within. CSJ and James Gomez have only shown the true colors over time. CSJ certainly did a great job, JG failed miserably and almost loss them a GRC which was why he got kicked to SDP. If this guy is a mole, we won't see it until it's too late.

I agree. To add further, he was the top A-level student in his cohort in 1979, but was rejected in his application to study medicine in NUS. He later left to study economics in Harvard. I think that was the time when he felt something was terribly wrong somewhere, maybe the system, although he did not put it explicitly. With his credentials and accomplishments, he could have joined the ruling party easily but chose otherwise. Now it's time for him to do something good for the country. He looks level-headed, cool and speaks with conviction.

Ideology? Only those who can be bought with money will subscribe to PAP's. I suspect CSM needs to fulfill a 'need'. The 'need' to serve his countrymen. Period.

He is doing very well and has no reason to risk all that he has to be a mole. He could have easily been offered a soft comfortable cushion seat if he joins PAP or stay put where he is now in the private sector. Only spineless, cannot make it people that are easily bought over make the grade as moles.
