Iron Man of Ipoh dies at 83
Ipoh's "Magnetic Man" Liew Thow Lin
IPOH's “Magnetic Man” Liew Thow Lin (pic), who could make metal stick to his body, has died, China Press reported.
The paper quoted Liew's family members as saying that the 83-year-old died at his house on Friday from health problems.
Liew, from Gunung Rapat, had once used an iron chain, hooked to an iron plate on his midriff, to pull a Perodua Kancil for over 20m during a demonstration in 2001.
The retired contractor discovered his body's ability to attract metal objects when he was 60.
He could also lift 30kg of weights attached to a metal plate placed at his abdomen.
