习近平说，中伊友好源远流长。双方互信和友谊久经考验。无论国际和地区形势如何变化，中方同伊朗发展全面战略伙伴关系的决心不会改变。在新形势下，中伊要进一步深化战略互信，继续在涉及彼此核心利益和重大关切问题上相互理解和支持；要密切沟通协调，相向而行稳妥开展务实合作，加强安全反恐、人文等领域交流合作；要加强在国际多边场合的协调配合，共同推动构建新型国际关系、构建人类命运共同体。
习近平指出，立法机构交往是中伊全面战略伙伴关系的重要组成部分。中国全国人大与伊朗伊斯兰议会要加强交流合作，相互学习借鉴治国理政经验，密切在国际和区域组织框架内的沟通协作，进一步发挥立法机构在推动双边关系等方面的重要促进作用。
习近平强调，中方始终心系地区和平，主张国际和地区各方加强合作，推动中东早日走上稳定和发展道路。我们支持伊朗为维护地区和平稳定发挥建设性作用，愿同伊方就地区问题保持密切沟通和协调。
拉里贾尼转达了伊朗最高领袖哈梅内伊和总统鲁哈尼对习近平主席的亲切问候。他说，伊朗从战略高度和长远角度看待和发展对华关系。伊中加强友好合作不仅符合两国的根本利益，对于亚洲乃至世界的和平稳定与发展也具有重要意义。新形势下，伊方愿同中方深化政治互信，推进务实合作，加大在国际地区事务中的相互支持。
