As u know, STTA is fighting with another coach again. Apparently, this time, it's got nothing to do with Lee Bee Wah. Lee Bee Wah was not involved in the actual confrontation with Coach Xu. The guy who came head to head with Coach Xu is none other than the Honorary Secretary of STTA, Mr Soon Min Sin.
Apparently, there was a meeting between Soon and Coach Xu. The details of the discussion was not clear but what is clear is that in the middle of the meeting, Coach Xu, being a temperamental fella, got angry and raised his voice against Soon. Soon, being a typical "PAP" top-down type, cannot tahan. As you know, these people act like big boss one. They only know how to por lumpar to the top and expect bottom level people to "respect" and "listen" to them. But of course, we all know that sports associations can't be run like that.
Anyway, Soon cannot tolerate lower level people raising voices at him so he went all way out to "whack" and "discredit" Xu. He wanted to get rid of Xu for insubordination. This is the real reason according to the source. All other reasons quoted in newspapers are just "wayangs"...
So, who is Soon Min Sin? He is also the General Manger of Sembwang Town Council. This is his full time job:
