AN elderly rubbish collector found the bodies of twin infant boys in the ruins of a house in Baoshan District nearly a week ago, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
The 80-year-old woman was picking recyclable wastes in the ruins when she saw a plastic bag with a black knit sweater inside. When she pulled the sweater out, two tiny bodies fell off.
The old woman was too scared and did not call the police. It was her neighbor who learned about her encounter and made the report yesterday, the paper said.
The twin babies did not look they were born with deformities and nearby residents said they had no idea why the healthy infants were abandoned.
Police are probing into the case, the paper said.
