Smoke haze to be visible during Singapore GP

Darkness and floodlights will not be the only challenge faced by F1 drivers in Singapore next weekend.

Environment minister Yaacob Ibrahim admitted on Tuesday that the visible smoke haze in the city-state will inevitably be the subject of international media scrutiny when the Formula One circus congregates for the Formula One event.

He said the problem is caused by scrub fires and forest clearing in Indonesia, and said the Singapore government has offered to help Indonesia tackle it.

Now they got something to blame on when F1 fails to bring in the dough. The brights lights already making people stay away from that area.
