Indonesian teenage girl charged with drugs possession

SINGAPORE: An Indonesian teenage girl is the latest to be charged with possessing cannabis following a raid last month by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).

Karina Iskandarsjah, 17, was charged on Monday with possessing cannabis at a flat in Mount Elizabeth.

She was allegedly with French national Gautron Mathieu Maxime, also 17, at that time.

Maxime was one of five people - four foreigners and a Singaporean - charged last week with drugs possession.

With the latest case, six people have been charged so far with cannabis possession following the CNB raid on 7 September.

The raid led to the arrest of 15 people, mostly teens aged 16 and 17.
