MR JULIUS MACHADO: 'I am from Mumbai and during my visit to Singapore last week, the guide on the Night Safari proudly listed Singapore's achievements. I was impressed by the efficiency, cleanliness, discipline and all-round development of Singapore. The guide mentioned repeatedly that water was safe to drink. Unfortunately, the same 'safe and potable' water is not available anywhere at the Night Safari, while bottled water is - at three times the prices charged in the city. [COLOR=_______]Tourism is big business for Singapore, but why are tourists fleeced for such a basic necessity?[/COLOR] The Government should ensure drinking water taps are available at tourist attractions.
