A heartbreaking case has emerged from Mumbai where a woman who recently gave birth to a baby girl, died by suicide over negligence and torture by her in-laws and husband.

An abetment of suicide case was registered by Thane police against the husband and in-laws of the woman from Mumbra.
The woman hanged herself due to alleged harassment for delivering a baby girl, police said on Sunday. The case was registered few days after the incident.

The woman hanged herself at her parent's house on July 14 after her in-laws refused to accept her back post her delivery in March this year, a Mumbra police station official said.
According to police officials, no arrest has been made so far.
