CALCUTTA - TATA Motors said on Friday it has decided to shift production of the Nano, billed as the world's cheapest car, from India's West Bengal state because of unrelenting opposition from a powerful local political party.
Mr Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Group, told reporters he is considering offers from three or four other Indian states to host production of the vehicle.
