Veteran resident's feel of living in Hougang
I AM a resident of Hougang who has lived in this constituency since my marriage 18 years ago, and I have lived in my first and only home, an HUDC flat.
So the asset enhancement policy has not benefited me at all.
My flat has appreciated almost more than 100 per cent and is in the process of being privatised if my estate achieves the required voting majority.
My family has enjoyed living here because of the quiet and neat environment, and the strong neighbourhood spirit. We are extremely pleased with the quality of town council service.
I am also impressed by the creativity of the small water feature display in front of Hougang Town Council, which I visit regularly after work as it helps me to relax after a hard day's work.
So, I want to thank Hougang Town Council for its service and commitment and advise it to keep up the good work and avoid being proud or complacent.
