With all the recent screwups at Singapore customs, these officers doesn't lack confidence, they are just simply complacent, taking after their boss attitutde in MHA. The Spore govt should stop wasting taxpayers money and spend only when there is a real need. Extra fund should then be channel to help the needy and unemployed during this economic crisis.

Besides projecting an overall professional enforcement image, the uniform also conveys a friendlier and more customer-oriented look, said Singapore Customs.
The creation of the new uniform is also aimed at instilling a sense of confidence in the officers while carrying out their duties.
While the jacket suits are made of 100 per cent polyester to keep officers warm in air-conditioned buildings, the short-sleeved white shirt and blouse are made of a mixture of wrinkle-free polyester and cotton to ensure comfort for officers working outdoors.
