I felt so empowered.
I gave myself a smirk; a satisfactory grin; thinking that this is the morning, where I shall repay the PAP for calling me DAFT; telling me lies (esp increase in GST is good for the poor); that obviously irritating and incompetent ministers like Shorty Wong; HDB Mah; YOG Vivian are presented to us again, (without even bothering to even "makeover" them, thus rubbing salt into our wounds) and OH YES, it does feel good this morning.
The funny feeling I must confess is that I was ANGRY the moment I walked into the school where the polling was held. Its strange that I should feel angry. I guess it must the years of feeling frustrated that as a citizen, I have been totally ignored, scolded, threatened and made to feel that I owe them a living. That they increase their salaries and still tell us they can make more if they were in the private sector.
Yes, One Man One Vote. The little power I have, becomes truly powerful when my fellow brothers and sisters citizens act together.
Corruption does NOT refer only to money. It also refers to POWER.
We have all learnt the hard way; Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely.
Tonight, I hope to see the hopelessness and frustrations and disappointment in the faces of the PAP, their cronies and dependents.
Tonight, I hope they will be transformed back into normal Human Beings again, the type with a heart and with heart beats.
I thank the Constitution of Singapore for giving us One Man One Vote!
