宜蘭外海今天清晨發生芮氏規模6及4.6地震。新北市府消防局表示，一名婦人遭到倒下的衣櫃重壓，消防局據報，立即線上指導第一線報案者給予患者急救。救護車並立即馳援將患者送醫，到院前已經命危，送醫後仍不治。
市府消防局表示，上午7時39分據報，中和區新生街186巷一起救護案件，現場疑似衣櫃倒下壓傷1名躺臥床上的60多歲婦人。
報案人自行將患者頭上的衣櫃及衣物移除，消防局並線上指導心肺復甦術急救，隨後，救護車將已經無呼吸心跳的呂姓婦人，送衛生福利部雙和醫院急救。
患者婦人急救後仍不治，詳細死因將由檢警進一步調查。
根據中央氣象局地震測報中心地震報告，今天清晨5時28分，宜蘭外海發生芮氏規模6地震，幾乎全台有感，最大震度在宜蘭南澳武塔，高達6級。

今（8）天早晨5點28分，宜蘭發生芮氏規模6.0有感地震，震央位置在宜蘭縣政府南偏東方 36.5 公里，震源深度22.5公里，劇烈搖晃讓許多還在睡夢中的民眾被搖醒，宜蘭最大震度達到6級，花蓮和雙北、新竹最大震度也達到4級，各地陸續有災情傳出，不僅有多處停電情形，還有萬華南機場的老舊公寓樓梯被震到幾乎快斷。
據了解，這起地震是今年規模第2大的地震，上一回的418強震規模為6.1，目前宜蘭縣災害應變中心提升為一級開設。而最大震度達4級的新北市，也接連傳出林口有民眾在地震當下，被受困電梯裡，另外，八里區和泰山區，也因為地震，有一根電線桿，發生短路走火，所幸都已經排除，新北保大9樓的鍋爐爆開，水淹到8樓婦幼隊。而台北市也陸續傳出災情，萬華區有687戶停電，目前台電已派員進行搶修中。台北市農安街也傳出有民眾受困電梯的消息，台北市承德路和長安西路口一棟大樓，更因為地震而下起「磁磚雨」。

而宜蘭縣壯圍鄉縣民大道一段535巷66弄因地震造成停電戶數約770戶，台電緊急派員搶修，目前已恢復供電。地震過後，在礁溪往跑馬古道上山的馬路發生落石坍方，還有賣場天花板被震到掉落，商品也散落一地，所幸未傳出人員傷亡消息，而05:49臺中消防局回報，臺中市南區高苑路及南平路口地面隆起大小約3平方公尺，造成瓦斯漏氣，目前相關單位處理中。
