Former SingTel boss joins ANZ board
Former SingTel boss Lee Hsien Yang has joined the board of ANZ Banking Group Ltd, as one of four new directors to join the bank ahead of the retirement of several board members.
ANZ announced the appointment of Mr Lee, who joined the board as of February 1, in November.
A former chief executive of Singapore Telecommunications, the owner of local telco Optus, Mr Lee is currently the chairman of Fraser and Neave Ltd, and a director of Singapore Exchange Ltd and The Islamic Bank of Asia Ltd.
He is also chairman of Republic Polytechnic and sits on the governing board of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
