The mainstream media’s feeble attempts to link The Online Citizen’s credibility in the eyes of the public with the revelation of the identities of its editors and writers is yet another ploy to lure annonymous bloggers out.
Andrew Loh, whether he realized it or not, is conveniently being paraded as a “credible” blogger by the state media just because he does not hide under the cloak of annonymity.
Is the identity of the messenger more important than the message itself ?
While I agree that the credibility of a blogger will undoubtedly be enhanced if he or she is known in real life, this is only feasible in a free and democratic society which Singapore is not.
