Wong Kan Seng is a minister and he is also vice-chairman of GIC. Does he take two salaries?

Ishwaran is a minister and he works fulltime at Temasek. Does he take on two salaries as well?

Lim Swee Say is a minister and also works at NTUC. Does he take on two salaries?

There are indeed others.

Not forgetting the 10-20 board or directorship they hold and if they serve more than two terms and is above 65, they get their ministerial salary on top of their pension.

I would guess that whatever salary was published in the papers.. i.e. 3.5million, the REAL number would be somewhere 3-4 times that amount.

Limp Sway Sway, is also a part time singer, is he paid for that too?, he is ministart in the PM office, together with his Comrade the mInistar with a 'portbello'....so, are they paid working for "u", ministar, one is on the board of PA..and many others..Ok!...some titbits for having to attend meetings etc, cut ribbons..etc..say $100 per apperance fees for each board they sit on.....add up the tidbits..you get a big bag of chips...

so go figure it out!....one leaf falling from a tree is insignificant, but many leaaves..makes a pile!!

For some of the MPs I think it would be higher than 3 to 4 times but we'll never know since its a state secret:rolleyes:

My salary is in such a STATE, it is no SECRET!

How much personal taxes are they paying, so that, we can thank them for helping the poor in SINkingpore & us people, especially the 66.6% who voted for them.

We must be thankful...since they earn so much!:D

You lucky you even got a salary. :)

Not only are the MPs getting world class $$$ but they are exempt from any income taxes. As well, when the old man ups the lorry, his family won't be liable for any death taxes.

The 66% are getting what they voted for but the remaining 33% are unwilling victims :(

In the real world is "you steal a bicycle they put you in jail, but you steal people life saving you become a minister". LKY's believe.

Yes, he draws 2 salaries. If a minister has 2 portfolios, the 2 ministries are supposed to co-ordinate and pro-rate his salary on how much time he spends in each ministry. For example, when gay Loong was DPM and Minister for Trade and Industry at the same time, the PMO was supposed to co-ordinate with the Ministry of trade and Industry to pro-rate one salary. Whether this actually happened or not, no one knows as they do not reveal his real salary. But if a minister is also a director like Wong kan Seng, there is nothing to pro-rate as Temasek is treated as a limited company and not a ministry. Just so that every one is clear, the Minister draws a salary, but if he is on the board of NTUC or some other GLC, he does not draw a salary there, rather a director's fee. The director's fee is dependent on how many board meetings he attends, and other such factors. So, they are definitely getting multiple incomes.

Lim Swee Say is more than a director at NTUC. I won't be surprised if he draws more than just Director's fees. IF they draw multiple salaries then it is very likely that there are politicians in SG that draw as much as $500,000 per month!

This for sure. Wong Cunt Stink for example in 2005 was the Minister of Home Affairs, Leader of the House of Parliament, Deputy Chairman of the PA, DPM, Co-chairman of the S'pore China Joint Council for bilateral development, adviser of the national transport union, first assistant secretary general of the PAP, etc. One wonders how he has time to shit. In any case, I am sure he was compensated for each of these positions.

I am paid for what I work for, and worth my weight in 'salt', and have eaten more rice than others..ha ha ha:D but some old farts..will tell you, they have eaten tapiocas also:p

33.3% that's me, the unwitting victim, the accidental tourist..who one day will die uunatural death...;)

How do you expect them to count what is their salary when it comes in from every possible streams and a rapid rate ?

Too fast to even count them, so how to know how much they own ?

Don't believe how slow their counting speed is? One guage is it takes 52 man-years to count what is already there for decades in their books (or is it ?) when someone asked some years ago. I supposed it is time-check on the status of the counting
