FORMER supervisor at Cortina Holdings Jerry Ee had allegedly begun stealing Rolex watches from as early as May last year - even though he came under the spotlight only after Christmas Day.

This was revealed in the claims made in court yesterday, after the 35-year-old was slapped with 11 more charges - each representing a Rolex timepiece that was misappropriated.
The courts charged Ee for taking these Rolex watches, which total about $203,000 in value. Their values range from about $6,000 to nearly $55,000.
Ee was charged for dishonestly misappropriating these watches 'sometime in the month' of May, June, August, September, November and December from the Raffles City Shopping Centre outlet.
BT understands that these timepieces are part of the 386 watches that were allegedly stolen in one of the biggest heists in recent memory.
He had been charged last Saturday for a criminal breach of trust, following the misappropriation of the 386 watches valued at over $8.5 million and some cash on Christmas Day last year between 8:52pm and 9:24pm. Ee, who will turn 36 in a month's time, surrendered at the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok last week after being on the run since the theft.

Cortina said that it had recovered almost 60 per cent of the maximum $7.9 million that it expected to lose from the theft. This reduces its maximum loss to $3.3 million. It is believed that the recovered watches may include rarer and more valuable pieces that went missing, such as a Patek Philippe 3939 worth about $500,000 and a set of Vacheron Constantin Les Masques watches worth about the same.
