During SDP rally, a NUH doctor told the audience that he has an old patient who has a stroke and need a special medicine cost $250. He help the patient to seek subsidy and was rejected. The rejection was his patient has one son stay in condo and other son not wealth off. This old man stayed with his son in condo. Per day cost is $250 and per moth cost is $7,200. He said the son stayed in the condo has his family to take care and he cannot afford the $7,200. Without the medicine, the old man may get another stroke and died.
