Housebreaker arrested in 61 hours

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for housebreaking and theft near Depot Road.
On May 6 at about 10.40 am, police received a report that a HDB unit located at Depot Road was broken into. $20 cash, a laptop and mobile phone valued at about $700 were stolen.
He was arrested at Jalan Bukit Merah on May 8 at about 10.45pm, and the mobile phone belonging to the victim was recovered.
The man will be charged and if guilty, he may be jailed for up to 10 years.
