MR LAWRENCE SEOW: 'Wednesday's report ('Out on bail: Naked couple in Holland Village') amazes me. First, because it is probably the first time this has happened in Singapore and the couple appeared to have done so intentionally. Second, and this is perhaps more amazing, what has happened to our morality? It was reported that more than 200 people were watching and many responded by applauding the shameless couple. Some were even taking photos of them. Where is our sense of decency and propriety? Whatever happened to boundaries of acceptable public conduct? It would appear that going about naked in public is now acceptable, going by the many who cheered them on. They see nothing wrong with this. Our morals and values have been subtly eroded over the years. So much so that a naked couple walking about in public now draws applause rather than shame and embarrassment.'

immoraity is in the mind not at the organs. the organs are born there. it's how the mind uses it again, if one sees a naked body with lust and one who sees it with admiration of beauty - it's all in the mind.
