Hongkong population is huge on small land but its population is not fake.
30k or more taxi drivers prowl the streets with a very huge population.
Sinkapore want to imitate HK or other veri cram countries, PAP sees traffic jam, they also want, they see big population , they also want but they import---this one unique.
So if macau got 20 casinos , sinkapor also want to have 20 casinos to fight . But Macau is not HK, a boat ride is about 1 to 2 from the Kowloon.
Sinkapore got 5 million, but taxi drivers got also 30k or more.
You see there are simply too many taxi drivers on the road in sinkapore , donch know why PAP encourage local sporns to be taxi drivers becos driving taxi got no future, no future at all, once you have a poor eyesight, you are finished.
Majority taxi drivers got high sugar in the urine, high blood, big belly, bad behavior ,bad legs , and like gambling.
Taxi driver can be temporary job long term no good for health.
PAP should encourage local sporns to compete with FTs on the even field .
By saying taxi drivers earning more becos of the IRs is not doing any good to sinkapore.
Taxi driving is a not career for first world education.
Think about high quality jobs and not these kind of driving third world jobs.
Taxi drivers good for working with pimps when big time prostitution is ready.
Unless PAP encourage more local girls to be hookers, taxi drivers will never get rich even if their income increase to 5k..
