粉嶺鄉委選主席前，多名候選執委座駕遭刑毀，警員到塘坑村調查。
【星島日報報道】粉嶺鄉事委員會主席選舉在即，多名候選執委的座駕遭刑毀！四輛分別屬於多名候選執委的私家車，於昨晨三句鐘內，先後發現遭人「扑爆」車窗，候選執委及村代表懷疑事件與選舉有關，中午集體到警署報案，要求警方徹查及加強保護措施，警方將案合併交由反黑組偵查，追緝毀車歹徒。
粉嶺鄉事委員會主席選舉投票將於下周二舉行，但區內最近已發生暴力事故，繼上月粉嶺圍村長中伏被毆傷後，昨晨再有三條村發生毀車恐嚇案，其中龍躍頭村代表鄧柱田的一輛私家車，停泊在粉嶺萃雲路永寧花園外，於昨晨近七時，被發現遭人以硬物砸毀天窗及全車玻璃，鄧取車時發現報警。
警員到場調查，列作刑事毀壞案處理，鄧事後稱，村內其他車輛完好無損，唯獨是其座駕被破壞。他是現任龍躍頭村村代表，將競逐連任，為此事感到擔心人身安全，考慮安裝閉路電視。
案發後十四分鐘後，沙頭角公路馬尾下段獅頭嶺村，兩輛停泊路邊的私家車，亦遭人扑爆玻璃。兩車車主分別是王金生和王嘉慶，他們與鄧桂田亦有份參與下周二粉嶺鄉事委員會主席選舉投票，認為事件與選舉有關。
至昨晨近十時，塘坑村前村代表劉水清，其停泊在粉嶺塘坑村村公所對開的私家車，亦遭扑爆車尾擋風玻璃，車尾燈及車頭擋風玻璃亦損毀。警方懷疑案件互有關連，一併交由大埔警區反黑組調查。就連串毀車事件，粉嶺區鄉事委員會執行委員彭慶培，聯同十名村代表，昨日中午十二時前往上水警署報案，表示懷疑有人透過暴力作出恐嚇，要求警方徹查及加強保護。
上月二十五日，粉嶺圍村長兼粉嶺鄉事委員會副主席彭未齊，兩度被惡漢伏擊，左前臂被踢至骨折，並遭恐嚇掟落魚塘，警方事後拘捕四名涉案男子助查。
