【on.cc東網專訊】九巴車長開工前突感不適，命殞中秀茂坪巴士總站。一名姓雷(49歲)九巴車長，今晨(24日)5時許，到中秀茂坪巴士總站取車時突然暈倒，在場其他車長見狀協助報警，其間有車長即時為他進行心外壓急救，至救護員到場，惟雷送院經搶救後證實不治。
據了解，死者全名雷振威，生前主要駕駛九巴1A線，人稱「威哥」，任職車長已逾22年，與同事關係良好。有認識他的九巴車長表示：「佢工作好認真，每當有新車長遇到問題時，佢都耐心回應，並提醒他們需要注意的路段。」該車長續指，今晨得悉事件後感到悲痛，希望他一路好走。
九巴發言人指，死者生前工作態度認真、熱誠和專業，深受同事愛戴。九巴對失去這位同事深表哀痛，已立即派員到醫院向其家人致以深切慰問。九巴會與其家人保持聯繫，提供一切適切的支援及協助，並為有需要的同事提供情緒支援及輔導。

A surnamed Lei (49-year-old) KMB bus driver, at 5 o'clock this morning (24th), suddenly fainted when picking up the car at Zhongxiu Maoping Bus Terminal. The other bus captains appeared to assist in the alarm, and there was a car in the meantime. He immediately gave him an extracardiac pressure first aid, and the ambulanceman was present. However, after being rescued, Lei was admitted to the hospital and proved dead.
It is understood that the deceased's full name, Lei Zhenwei, was mainly driving the KMB 1A line during his lifetime. He was known as "Wei Ge" and has been working as a bus captain for more than 22 years. He has a good relationship with his colleagues. The KMB bus driver who knows him said: "The drainage works are very serious. Whenever there is a problem with the new car captain, the canal responds patiently and reminds them of the road sections that need attention." The captain continued to learn this morning.
