號稱世界級、負責處理機場空運貨物的香港空運貨站(Hactl)發生職員涉嫌偷貨事件,該公司一名職員上月中疑進入屬禁區的停機坪,盜走準備運往外國約二百四十部智能手機,總值逾二百萬元。據悉,當外國貨主收到貨物打開時,發現內裏並無智能手機,於是向港方追究,警方其後接獲報案,本月中拘捕一名Hactl職員,已落案控告他一項盜竊罪名,案件將於六月十日在西九龍裁判法院提堂。
盜竊後放回重物圖掩飾
停機坪屬於機場禁區範圍,出入人士須領有禁區通行證,消息指,案發於上月廿二日,有人疑藉工作緣故,掌握寄往海外貨物及航班資料,持通行證進入航機停泊位置附近,將該批準備寄往外國的智能手機移走,帶返非禁區範圍。有人再放回一定重量物件以圖掩飾貨箱有貨品,當航機抵達當地,貨主發現貨箱內並無智能手機,感到十分愕然,遂立即向港方追究,最終決定報警求助。
貨值228萬元 拘中年港漢
警方發言人表示,機場警區於四月上旬接獲一名職員報案,指其公司有約二百四十部手提電話懷疑被人盜去,總值約港幣二百二十八萬元,經深入調查後,人員於本月十二日在機場警區拘捕一名四十九歲本地男子,案件由機場警區刑事情報及支援組跟進,涉案男子已被暫控一項「盜竊」罪,案件將於六月十日在西九龍裁判法院提堂。
Hactl發言人證實,機場停機坪於上月中發生一宗懷疑貨物失竊事件,涉及一名Hactl員工,案件已交由警方進行調查,貨站亦正全力配合,因此不便評論或提供任何資料。發言人表示,貨站過去四十多年來一直採取嚴密的保安監管制度,包括在貨站設有一千二百多部閉路電視,防止盜竊案發生,一旦發現懷疑失竊事件,必定會報警處理。機管局發言人表示,由於案件交由警方調查,現階段不宜評論。
大律師陸偉雄表示,不評論個別案件,但若外國貨主發現訂購的貨物在港被盜,如涉案被告認罪,則毋須回港作證,若被告否認控罪,則可能要回港作證,確定貨物為該公司所有;另外,若貨物仍未轉手,案件完結後可取回,但若已轉手或售出一部分,則可能要透過民事程序,向被告及涉事單位索償,追討疏忽責任。
