3日晚间,在得知暴徒将海港城前面旗杆上的国旗扔入海中后,全国政协副主席、香港特区前特首梁振英发帖表达了强烈谴责称:有狂徒将尖沙咀天星码头的国旗卸下并丢入海中。此举必将引起全国人民极大愤慨,我作岀最强烈的谴责,并请全港市民提供资料,全力协助缉捕狂徒归案。
随后,梁振英更是发布了一条“悬赏令”,悬赏100万港元向公众征集线索 ,他在帖文中说:我悬赏港币100万元。任何公众人士向警方提供线索,缉捕今天在天星码头将国旗丢入海中的狂徒,一经法庭定罪,可得此赏格。
接着,梁振英继续发帖倡议建立“悬赏基金”,将侮辱国家、冲击警察、扰乱香港正常社会秩序的暴徒绳之以法。
