A retiree was killed in a hit-and-run in Pasir Ris more than a year ago. Till today, the driver of the white car that ran down Mr Ho Ching Hay has not been tracked down.

At the inquiry into the death of the 66-year-old on Sept 16, State Coroner Imran Hamid urged the police to continue their efforts to find the driver's identity.

'The driver should be held accountable for his actions,' he added.

Mr Ho was crossing Pasir Ris Drive 4 near Block 217 at about 4.30am on July 7, 2010, when the accident occurred.

The driver fled the scene and the retiree was pronounced dead soon after.
