High Property (HDB) Price is not the reason Behind MBT Resignation from Cabinet

Mah Bow Tan said that he willingly resigned from cabinet so that cabinet could have more new blood and it was timely for him to resign and his resignation was never related to HDB. That means he never agree that there was any problem with HDB supply, demand and pricing during his reign as Minister of National Development. Do you agree? Pls comment.

前国家发展部长、淡滨尼集选区议员马宝山在2011年引退时，坊间有各种传闻。马宝山在接受一新书《世界因你而精彩———新加坡海南杰出人物专访》专访时，揭露了他退休的真正原因。

马宝山在访谈中提到，他在退休时，毫无怨言与遗憾。

“尽管坊间有各种传闻，甚至传言我为高涨的房价背了黑锅，黯然退下，我并不这样认为，我觉得我已经为新加坡政府和人民献上了我最宝贵、最有价值的人生阶段。”

他表示，是应该退休的时候，让位给更优秀的人才，将新加坡建设的更加美好。

Officially this MBT chap is still a MP as he has been voted into the parliament.
Unofficially, he was asked to "step down" aka resign so that he no longer involved in politics in the "front line".
But at the "back end", he is still providing advise/advice to that Mr Cow related to housing and property matters.

This useless chap also wasted billions of tax payers $$$ just to built that stupid artificial "garden by the bay".
It will soon become another white elephant.
