French woman arrested for shop theft at MBS

SINGAPORE - The police have arrested a French woman for involvement in a case of shop theft at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
On Jul 30, at around 11.07pm, the police received notification that a luxury ladies handbag was stolen.
The officers from Central Police Division subsequently conducted extensive investigation to trace the suspect's whereabouts.
Then, on Aug 19, at about 11pm, the officers arrested the female suspect at Changi International Airport and recovered the stolen handbag.
Investigations are still on-going.
Anyone convicted of the offence of Theft in Dwelling is liable to a maximum punishment of seven years' imprisonment and a fine.
