Hidden broadcast to invite all around the world that wish to become Singapore citizens .

'Your Singapore' lacks appeal
By Goh Shi Ting, Multimedia Journalist, RazorTV

HOW does Singapore become 'yours'?

The recently released television commercial by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) puts the new tourism tagline 'Your Singapore' into perspective, an amalgamation of different aspects of Singapore.

'Singaporeans and visitors can personalise their unique Singapore experience according to their individual needs and interests,' said Mr Ken Low, Marketing Assistant Chief Executive of STB in a Straits Times forum letter.

'This is how Singapore becomes 'Yours'.'

However, the tagline has raised eyebrows for being 'vague' and 'forgettable'.

The new tagline didn't connect with Promotional Communications Professor Lee Chun Wah, who is from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

'A tagline with no emotions lacks depth. Your Singapore lacks that and it would take time to build up that emotionality.'

So how do tourists and locals feel about 'Your Singapore'?

The real talents skip pap singapore for more vibrant places like HK, NY and Shanghai... so pap can only beg for 3rd rated talents... :D:D

Actually the government should persuade Mexicans and Latin Americans to come here too, just to add to the mix and bring a little more culture to this place.

How muchie did STB paid to get this tagline ?

Same amount of $400K to rename Marina Bay as 'Marina Bay' ?

Haha Marina Bay is a classic cock up! It actually summarizes the way PAPpies do things - do first think later!

I'm sure Robert Ho can come up with a better tagline. But STB must pay him. This is a real talent, and is worth every penny.

Oh ha you mean protests? Hmm protest culture is not very good cos if too many are performed free to fulfill tourist itinerary then nothing more productive can ever really get done.

But that's them, and you know that place is pretty hopeless cos I also know Argentinians have for many years been using the more stable US dollar over their over-devalued worthless peso and Japan is tired of them and has given many Brazilians some go-home money. Sometimes you wonder what they are up to when their countries are hardly land-scarce and they have lots of natural resources. These silly low-intelligence species.

Well maybe they can get a better pay doing the undesirable jobs here that most locals won't fill up.

And we love their music (some of us do) and more importantly, their soccer.

Getting to watch them play a friendly game in the heartlands like the Thais with their sepak-takraw prowess is a treat, and it's free, locals first. And people would even come by from their lonely and boring drab bubble houses some miles away and watch with the diehard heartlanders where everyone aren't given food incentives like free nasi lemak and fried bee hoon.

Robert Ho probably could. For his new home. I'm sure he could compose tantalising Woodbridge poems under the full moon too, without needing to turn crazier.

No it is not "vague" and "forgettable", but it is politically correct. :)

People should not need to be spoon-fed towards letting their imaginations do the rest. ;)

You were handheld all the way from kindergarten towards even your Poly and A-level certifications, and it's still not enough? Paaathetic.

Or do you people expect something like "Singapore is MINE heh heh heh...!!!"

That sounds like a tagline too, but from someone like our urban legend called Roberto Ho.
