ST most popular newspaper
THE Straits Times (ST) is the most popular newspaper in Singapore for advertisers and their clients, according to a survey conducted by Marketing Magazine. It asked marketers to name the Singapore newspaper with the best advertising platform and ST, the flagship daily of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), took the No. 1 spot ahead of the Wall Street Journal Asia, which it pipped into second place. The Business Times came in third, while MediaCorp's Today snagged the No. 4 spot. ST also took the top spot last year.
In the April issue of Marketing Magazine, ST was unveiled as the marketers' top choice in 14 out of 19 categories, including corporate IT managers, consumer electronic buyers, frequent travellers and others. Mr Peter Khoo, senior vice-president of the editorial projects unit for the English and Malay newspapers division, said ST, which has a readership of about 1.4 million, is an ideal media platform for marketing and advertising professionals because it has the highest readership and circulation in Singapore and a quality reader profile.
