A deadly collision between a motorized tricycle and a runaway heavy-duty goods truck left behind
one dead and two seriously injured. The accident occurred in the mid-morning traffic rush on the 8th of
August 2012 on the Juancheng/Heze highway of Shandong, China.
A 3-year-old little girl was following her grandpa for joyride in his morning delivery schedule of bricks to
the nearby township in their motorized tricycle when their tricycle was hit by a speeding runaway truck
from the opposite direction.
The force of the collision throw the grandpa onto the road, seriously injured. Meanwhile, the little was
trapped in the smash-up passenger cabin of the tricycle.
Fire and rescue staff from Heze fire squadron rushed to the scene to rescue and tender to the two injured.
However, there was little that can be done to save the poor little girl crushed in the passenger cabin.
She was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
